It’s changing so fast!

Tech things, especially things you can do online, are changing (or the list of helpful web-based apps is growing) so fast that my head is spinning. I’m only 37 (I think) [I honestly don’t know] and it’s all I can do to keep up! No wonder folks older than me are overwhelmed. They were overwhelmed with web 1.0, when there were just many, many intersting and useful static sites. But now add these “web 2.0” sites that are actually online applications and social networking tools, holy cow, even *I*, the techiest girl I know, can hardly keep up or keep track or even understand some of it.

I have more blogs than I can count.

I’ve joined more social networking sites than I can remember, let alone count.

I’ve had to create a stand-alone, centralized profile cuz I join so many sites and get tired of re-entering in all the same sh*t.

I use Jaiku and Twitter and all IMs.

Now I found Imified which lets me use IM to post to Jaiku & Twitter at once (which I love) but to my surprise (causing me to go “whoa!” and “my brain hurts!” and run into the other room) it also lets you post to blogger, moveable type, wordpress… manage to-do lists and more. All from a chat window, which means, in theory, you can do it from your cell phone too.

This is all so wonderful, but what scares me is that I can barely keep track now. What’s going to happen as I age and it gets harder to learn new things and remember things?

My brain hurts already.
